ABOUT
I always wanted to be a writer. Ever since I learned how to read books I knew I wanted to write them. I've worked to learn the craft, develop my skills, and understand not just what makes good writing – but why people are drawn into it.

I'm from Glasgow, but now I'm based in Berlin. I studied English Literature, Creative Writing, and Journalism throughout my Bachelor and Master degrees. I write fiction and poetry – if you're interested, you can check out some of my short fiction and poetry in journals and anthologies like The Rialto, New Writing Scotland, and Gutter magazine, amongst others. At the time of writing this, I'm on the second draft of my first novel.
I started working as a copywriter back in 2020 because it felt like a natural progression from my studies. I worked for a fashion magazine and media production company called Valeur. Then, in 2021, I began working for travel and events company, GetYourGuide. And in 2022, for art and design e-commerce site, JUNIQE.
In the same way that graphic designers often make good creative directors, I've found that copywriters often make good brand managers. Because, as I mentioned, branding is all about storytelling. So, moving into the brand manager position at JUNIQE in 2023 felt like the next natural step for my career, and it's been a real joy to work on so many amazing projects since.

Copywriting
The hands-on work. Anything you need written: newsletters, blogs, social media content, copy for your website and landing pages, taglines for marketing ads, micro copy and UX copy, everything in between.
Strategy and Research
Conducting market research for your brand. Where you are, where the gaps are, where you want to move towards. Creating a conclusive brand strategy that details key touchpoints with a clear timeline. Your audience, competitors, key channels and KPIs.
Campaign Planning
Developing creative concepts for 360 campaign communication. Roll outs, product launches, trending content, and more – exploring where your audience engages and leaning into it. Everything from narrative to visual direction and coordinating photoshoots, ensuring cohesion from email to social media.
Social Media Production
Filming and creating content. Content planning based on following and trends within your niche. Tracking growth and engagement and providing regular updates to optimise and improve.
